Overview

JeriCommerce's Shopify POS extension bridges online and in-store loyalty. Staff can identify customers, scan wallet passes, adjust balances, and redeem rewards directly from the POS terminal.

Installation

Enable POS extension

In JeriCommerce dashboard, go to Settings > Channels > Shopify POS and toggle the extension on.

Configure POS tiles

Select which tiles to display on your POS terminal: Scanner, Balance, Rewards, Customer Info.

Sync locations

Ensure your Shopify locations are synced in Settings > Locations & Devices. Each POS terminal links to a specific location.

Train staff

Share the POS workflow with your team: scan first, then process the sale.

In-Store Workflow

  1. Customer presents their wallet pass (QR visible on phone)
  2. Staff taps the JeriCommerce tile on POS
  3. Scans the QR code — customer profile loads
  4. Process the sale normally
  5. Points are credited automatically post-purchase
  6. If customer has a redeemable reward, apply it before checkout

  1. Ask customer for their email or phone number
  2. Look up the customer in the JeriCommerce POS tile
  3. Process the sale
  4. Offer to enroll them: QR code prints on the receipt for wallet card installation

NFC Setup

NFC is available only on Advanced and Enterprise plans.

NFC readers connect via Settings > Locations & Devices and are linked to specific Shopify locations and POS terminals.

NFC enables:

  • 40% faster checkout — tap instead of scan
  • 35% higher redemption rates — frictionless identification
  • Tags can be placed on displays, packaging, and event materials

QR on Receipts

Enable QR codes on receipts to drive card installations from in-store purchases:

  1. Go to Settings > POS > Receipt Configuration
  2. Toggle Show loyalty QR on receipt
  3. Customize the call-to-action text

Combine receipt QR with the "Credit Points after Installing" earning flow to incentivize installations. Offering 50-100 bonus points for card installation works well for in-store conversion.
